DENETIAH FISHING ADVENTURES

Fly In. Cast Deep. Hook the Wild.

Remote, pristine, and loaded with wild rainbow trout—Denetiah isn’t your average fishing trip.
This is unpressured wilderness angling for those who know the difference.

The Trip Anglers Dream About—but Almost No One Knows Exists

Tucked deep in northern British Columbia, Denetiah Lodge gives you floatplane access to untouched rainbow trout water. Crystal-clear lakes. Wild fish. No boats around. No pressure. Just you, your fly rod, and fish that have never seen a hook.

The bite stays hot all day—but there’s something magic about evenings, casting from shore after dinner, when the surface lights up and the trout hit hard.

“We guarantee you will not experience better rainbow fishing anywhere. From spin casting off the sandy shores to fly fishing the streams, we have had clients catch 100 trout after dinner in the evening.”

Remote access by floatplane. A Secluded Fishing Adventure.

You don’t get trophy-size wild fish with a parking lot nearby. At Denetiah, you’ll land on a private alpine lake by floatplane. Or, fly your own bush-capable aircraft to the Scoop Lake airstrip and connect via charter floatplane from there.

This remoteness means one thing: no crowds. No pressure. Just endless opportunities and wild, willing trout.

It’s the stillness that awakens you.
The clarity of the water, the trout rising.
It doesn’t feel real until you’re there.

I think Denetiah is a magical place for amazing wilderness adventures. The mountains so nearby and the lake full of trout gives you the option of just hanging out enjoying the serenity, hiking or catching fish all day long. And the new lodge buildings make the wilderness comfortable and accessible. I have never been to any place that matches Denetiah’s scenic setting or offers better wilderness adventures.

Reviews

In July 2024 we flew our Turbine Goose to the new lodge at Denetiah Lake. Trina and her staff gave us a warm welcome and promptly toted our stuff to our respective lodges. The first class treatment continued throughout our stay, with clean modern lodging and excellent meals. We had a wonderful time fishing the lakes and rivers of the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and interactions with the Denetiah staff, and look forward to many future returns.

Trina- I've been flying to remote places in Alaska for three decades now and I know my way around beautiful places and wilderness lodges. I was thoroughly impressed with what you have at Denetiah. In particular, the hospitality, the fishing, the meals, the accommodations and the natural beauty of the Canadian Rockies all make it a special place. Not every lodge manages to pull it off like you guys do.
